A debate and rhetoric card game about the most important and influential people, places, ideas, and technologies in history.
CARD-tamen™ is a debate and rhetoric card game through which players hold back-and-forth discussions about people, places, ideas, and technologies from a wide variety of disciplines. During standard play, the group rotates through two roles—Judges (i.e., individuals who evaluate player competency) and Provocateurs/Challengers (i.e., individuals tasked with making arguments on behalf of their chosen cards). Each round’s Provocateurs/Challengers have two minutes to provide the most compelling argument as to why their chosen card best addresses a particular controversy (randomly determined by a d20 dice roll corresponding to a list of controversies provided with the game), and the Judges award a point to whomever they believe made the strongest case on behalf of their card.

All CARD-tamen™ decks can be played together through the use of the universal controversy card, which makes richly-authentic interdisciplinary debate possible with players representing every domain.
